With Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones and Kathy Grant
Let me take you into the world of Johnny Blanks. He has worked in one of the most dangerous trades in New York City as a High Rise Window Cleaning Specialist. He has worked at iconic high rise buildings such as the Empire State Building, the former World Trade Center Towers, the Chrysler Building and Rockefeller Center just to name a few. While doing this dangerous and daring job, Johnny was able to find a way to attain over 25 years professional experience in the entertainment industry.
Johnny says "Hanging outside 80 stories high to clean windows for others to see their view taught me that my outlook today depends on my visions for tomorrow." Johnny's mantra "LET GO TO GROW" is how he lives and gives in his life. Below are just a few things Johnny has accomplished.
Mr. Blanks is an Honorable Discharge Veteran of the U.S. NAVY and has received Letters of Commendations for his "JOB WELL DONE". He has received a Proclamation from the Mayor of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., honoring him as an "Individual who has endeavored to make a difference in the lives of others". Johnny is the former Fashion Coordinator for Ambassdor Dr. Bobby Jones of the (BET) Network. He hosted the Pan Zai Fashion shows for (9) consecutive seasons on the WORD NETWORK (the longest running fashion show on the network). He is also the manager for Canada's talented Gospel Artist Kathy Grant.
You say, what makes this so interesting? Well in his early years of life Johnny admits he was a very troubled, mixed up youth. He was faced with racisim, self esteem issues, a motherless and fatherless home, drugs and acohol abuse to name a few of his issues. "These are some of the same traps that are stealing our young people's dreams today". He has experienced these things and more throughout his life. So when he speaks about it you get the honest and raw point of views.
Johnny was determined to create visions that would be different from that which he was living. Once he learned how to allow change to take place in his mind, he began to see the power of change in his life. With hard work and a committment to never give up on himself, Johnny continues to prove that everyone can make dynamic comebacks with their life when it is time.
Johnny is President of D.M.I., a New York based artist development company, and the V.P. of KGM Enterprises based in Ottawa, Canada. He produces a weekly gospel show called Gospel Groove on CHRI Radio in Ottawa, Canada. He writes the Motivational Minute, which can be heard every Sunday at 9pm on www.chri.ca. He is the Co-Founder of both the Canadian Gospel Music Conference (CGMC) and "CrED" a Creative Entertainment Development Program.
Johnny also hosted a Pan Zai fashion show for the former First Lady Barbara Bush and others at the Capital Building for the "First Ladies Summit" in Washington, D.C., 2006. All of this while raising his daughter as a single father from the tender age of 3 till her adulthood.
Johnny has proven that " You Are What You Most Desire".
